Nissarana Galleries was established in 2008 and now has galleries in Noosa Heads and Richmond, where it occupies 367 Bridge Road. Its name means ‘freedom’, and the collection reflects a spiritual focus across painting, ceramics, photography and sculpture. More than 80 modern artists are represented, including Colin Passmore and Bronwyn Bancroft. The breadth of media means the walls and plinths offer a varied mix of works, from canvases to sculptural and ceramic pieces.
