Jeow

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant Laotian eateries found in Australia’s major cities, Jeow takes its name from the Laotian word for relish or sauce.

Chef Thi Le skilfully incorporates this essence into every aspect of her restaurant. Jeow represents the evolution of Chef Le’s renowned modern-Vietnamese establishment, Anchovy, which closed its doors in 2022.  While the space remains unchanged, the menu has undergone a delightful transformation.

Chef Le and partner Jia-Yen Lee have shifted away from the Vietnamese set menu, opting instead for a more relaxed, pop-in dining experience. The new menu embraces a homestyle approach, featuring a plethora of shared components that arrive simultaneously, fostering a convivial atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Partner Jia-Yen Lee curates a drinks list that favours savoury wines over the traditional sweet styles often associated with Asian cuisine.

At Jeow, the essence of Laotian culinary culture comes to life, inviting diners to embark on a journey of flavours and textures that celebrate the rich tapestry of Asian cuisine.
