Koguis
At Koguis, we embrace the Fair Trade philosophy by directly trading with indigenous and master artisans in Colombia.
We source high-quality handicrafts created using traditional techniques passed down through generations of artisans from various regions in Colombia. This approach provides these artisans with a fair opportunity for a better livelihood, enabling them to improve their lifestyles and support their families.
The name ‘Koguis’ is derived from the tribal name of the Kogi people, meaning ‘Jaguar’ in their language. The Koguis are the last descendants of the Tayrona Native American culture and represent one of the few remaining Pre-Columbian civilizations in Latin America.
Through Fair Trade, we aim to promote giving back and fairness. In addition to supporting indigenous communities in Colombia, we also prioritise empowering women in disadvantaged situations or those responsible for their families.
